What is a portal
A bounded passage between two locations. Three components, fully decoupled.
Entry
The threshold a traveler crosses to begin transit. Configurable per portal as persistent, scheduled, or on-demand. Identity is verified at the boundary.
Transit
The state between entry and egress. Travelers in transit are unobservable but tracked. The traveler at egress is the same continuous entity as the traveler at entry — verified, not implied.
Egress
The point of emergence. Pair any egress with any entry to form a complete portal. Geometry is configurable and audited on every traversal.

Operating envelope and certified tolerances. Quoted values apply to a single portal pair at nominal load.

How to use your portal
Five steps from approach to emergence. The procedure is identical across portal classes.
Approach the portal
Confirm the entry threshold is visible and stable. Stand within two meters of the boundary. Do not approach a portal that is flickering, inverted, or emitting audible feedback — report it to your operator instead.
Authenticate
Identity is verified at the entry boundary. Authorized travelers pass through without interruption. Unrecognized travelers are held at the threshold and routed to a support queue. No credential is transmitted during transit.
Enter
Step through the entry threshold in a single continuous motion. Forward momentum is recommended but not required. Belongings remain on your person for the duration of transit.
Transit
Remain stationary. Transit completes automatically and is fully managed by the platform. Travelers should not attempt to reverse direction, communicate externally, or self-extract during this state. You remain a continuous entity throughout transit; the traveler who emerges is, in all measurable respects, the same traveler who entered.
Emerge
Step out from the egress threshold. Confirm your belongings, your orientation, and the destination. A traversal receipt is delivered to your portal dashboard within thirty seconds of egress.
